Wexford Farmers Co-op 60 x 30 Handball final fixtures
The temperatures are set to be sweltering next week and Thursday night in St Mary’s handball court in Wexford town a local derby between Tommy Hynes St Mary’s and Gavin Buggy St Joseph’s in the Wexford Farmers Co-op Senior Open Singles final, will certainly add to the temperature.
This is set to be a very interesting final indeed with the added spice of Gavin Buggy’s recent transfer from St Mary’s to St Joseph’s adding to the appetite for what should be a fantastic game of handball at 8pm. Tommy Hynes who is showing fine form and more importantly a run of injury free handball will certainly have all the shots for Gavin Buggy and with the zinc roof of the 60 x 30 alley in St Mary’s the warm conditions will provide conditions where the fittest may survive a gruelling test of handball.
Preceding the men’s final Tommy’s daughter Holly at the age of fourteen will aim to become women’s champion, but this is a case of the master against the student as Marguerite Gore a fellow St Mary’s player and club mate of Hynes and also one of her coaches provides the opposition and experience may have enough in this eagerly awaited women’s singles final that gets under way at 7.15 pm.
