The death has occurred of Larry Larkin, a former dual player of high renown who played
with Wexford in the 1950 All-Ireland Minor football final and went on to represent the Senior footballers with distinction for many years. Larry won a Senior football championship with his native Gusserane in 1954 and refereed the finals of 1957 and 1961. He wrote the Seana Ghael history in 1997 and was well known countywide through his work as a reporter with the People Newspaper group, based in New Ross.
