Wexford U14 footballers claimed the Leinster shield on Saturday in Ballinakill. After coming through the group stages following wins over Wicklow and Offaly and a battling draw against a very good Carlow side they qualified for the final where they managed to beat Kildare with a great display of attacking football.
The Wexford U15 qualified for the finals day of the Adam Mangan tournament. The competition consisted of teams from all over the country. Wexford had two teams involved with one of the teams reaching the semi finals after defeating Roscommon and losing by two points to Kildare in the semi final. The U15 will conclude their season when they play in the final of the Damien Reid tournment on September the 8th
Our U16 team defeated Laois and were defeated by Carlow in the Gerry Reilly tournament. They will finish the season by entering the Fr Manning competition in October.
