STRICTLY POKER CLASSIC
The Buffers Alley Poker Classic will be on Sunday 27th December at 8pm in the clubhouse.
The Poker Classic is being run in conjunction with the Strictly Club Dancing which is in full swing at the moment.
Last year the total prize money cleared €1600 which made it the biggest purse of any poker classic in Wexford last year. Over 100 card sharks played last year and we would like to thank all the players for their continued support. There is a guaranteed prize fund of €1000.
Tickets, priced at €20 are now on sale from club members.
There will be refreshments served and the bar will be running promotions for players on the night.
Hammels Centra of Kilmuckridge are kindly sponsoring a Door Prize again this year.
Jimmy “Cody” Fortune was last year’s winner and along with all the members of the final table namely Mick Carter, Mick Butler, Paddy Graham, Willie Lee and Jerry Kelly will receive complimentary admission to this year’s classic. Other prize winners were Jimmy Kennedy Snr, first poker and Paddy Breen, Door Prize. Surprisingly there was no Straight Flush or Royal Flush last year.
