A Players Forum will take place on Wednesday 28th November 2012 at 7.30pm in the Ferrycarrig Hotel. This is an important event for all players with the evening totally focused on player involvement and their activity in our association.
We are asking all Clubs in Wexford to support the event and have five players in attendance on the night.
Our preference of players to attend is as follows – however we welcome any player who may wish to attend.
- 17/18 year old
- 20/25 year old
- 30/40 year old
- A past player
- A player who has played inter-county at any level.
We are fortunate to have Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Liam O’Neill,
together with other distinguished guests to participate in the workshops with Kieran Leddy from Croke Park facilitating the meeting.
Below is the agenda for the evening concluding with an open discussion if required
- Fixtures & Championship Format
- Match Officials
- Player Welfare, Issues facing todays Player,
- Club V County
- Fall off /Drop out in our games
- Emigration
We appreciate that our players are busy and generally do not get involved in the meeting rooms of the association but this is their night where they will have the opportunity to voice whatever opinion they wish.
I am appealing to you to please advise your players of this important event and ensure that your club is well represented on the night.
To ensure the smooth running of the evening we will be compiling an attendance list so it is important that you forward the names of your players attending to me, by email, no later than 5pm on Friday November 23rd.
This is a first for Wexford and indeed possibly for the association as a whole with the Uachtaran having a special interest in it so it is vital that we as a county ensure that we will have a progressive evening with full attendance.
