Cúl Camps to reach over 6,000 children in 2018
The summer is fast approaching and with that comes the GAA Kellogg’s Cúl Camps. Over 5,500 children attended last years which is over 33% of the primary school children within the county. Diarmuid Byrne who is the coordinator of the program over the last number of years recently spoke about the continued rise of the camps “Its been fantastic project to be involved in. There is a lot of hard work and effort put in by clubs and coaches on the lead up to the camps but it’s all worth it when we receive feedback like we have to date. The booking opens on March 1st and we hope people will book online. Over 80% of attendees did this last year and it was a great help. I think we can go a little further this year. We have two new clubs running camps Our Lady Island St Fintans & Davidstown Courtnacuddy. The aim this year is to reach 6,000 children”
