The sad news has reached us of the death of Mickey Lynch, Pearse Road, Enniscorthy. Mickey was well known to GAA people the length of breadth of Wexford and especially those teams that used St Patrick’s Park where Mickey was grounds man for a long number of years. Mickey was of course brother of 1968 All Ireland winning hurler Paul Lynch.
The sympathies of Wexford GAA go to his wife Theresa and children, Sam & Steve, Martina, Michael, Fran, Sandy and Michelle.
Mickey will be removed from his home this evening (Thursday) at 6.30 pm to St. Aidan’s Cathedral, Enniscorthy. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
