We’ve a great line up planned for this weekend’s, ‘Set the Heather Blazing’ doubleheader in Wexford Park and it promises to be a memorable day.
The centre piece is of course the hurling and football action but in addition we also have Búi Bolg; St Michael’s Pipe Band from Gorey; our mascot Feargas (Strong Man) and Face Painters drawn from our camogie teams, under the guidance of Máire O’Connor. Then between the games, a number of young hurlers and footballers from around the county will entertain us with their skills under the watchful eye of the Wexford GAA coaching staff.
We’ll have some very special guests in the form of the All Ireland winning Oulart-the-Ballagh Senior Camogie team who will present to the crowd their County, Provincial and All-Ireland trophies.
It all adds up to a great days entertainment, colour and fun and we’re hoping for good weather and a great crowd!
