At the monthly meeting of the Wexford County Board it was agreed to dispose of the remaining pocket of land at Glenbrien.
An acre and a half remained in the ownership of the GAA, this was out of an original holding of 35 acres. The land had been purchased with the intention of locating a Centre of Excellence for the use of county teams before planning issues forced a rethink and the purchase of a larger site at Ferns.
In the deal, a figure of close to €30,000 has been realised from the sale. The sale was approved unanimously by the full County Board.
