Wexford Coaching & Games along with Secondary Schools Committee held a Juvenile Hurling Blitz on Wednesday the 13th in Pairc Charman.
280 under 14 hurlers descended on Pairc Charman on Wednesday to participate in the annual school hurling blitz. The students and their teachers were blessed with beautiful weather for their day long hurling event.
11 schools and 13 teams juvenile (u14 ½) participated. Gorey CS and Enniscorthy CBS were restricted to first years only as their juvenile teams would be too strong for the others.
The successful event was organised by the Secondary Schools Committee and well co-ordinated by Shane O Hanlon (Hurling GDA), Diarmuid Byrne (Urban Development Officer) and JJ Doyle. The emphasis was very much on participation and fun while every hurler received a medal.
