Our New York based friends have been in contact inviting all Wexford people who are in the Big Apple to join them at the head of this year’s New York City St Patrick’s Day Parade. This is a world famous parade and promises great memories and fun to all those who participate.
So come on, march down the heart of Manhattan, soak in the atmosphere and show your pride in the purple and gold.

Dear fellow Wexfordians,
This is an urgent shout out, calling on all Wexford people, and those with Wexford connections, to come and march behind the Wexford banner in the 2013 New York City St Patrick’s Day Parade which takes place on Saturday, March 16th at 11:10am on E. 44th between Venderbilt and Madison.
Our 11:10am step-off time means that the Wexford contingent will be one of the FIRST groups up 5th Avenue and yes, we might even get on T.V.!! This prominence makes it even more critical that we have a strong turnout, showing the pride in our county – we don’t want Wexford to be out shone by other counties…
Please pass this on to any Wexford folks you know around the City and beyond, or any friends who want to join you!
A link to details about the parade is at http://nycstpatricksparade.org/parade-information
Parade route ends at 79th and we should be done by appx. 1pm and for those who want to grab a pint afterwards, we will head over to McKeown’s on 3rd Ave between 74th and 75th (there are no tables reserved but look for some Wexford bunting to identify the crowd!)
You can contact organiser John Murphy by email [email protected] or on his cell is 646-920-6921 or Mark Galway at 917-715-6046.
If you can attend, please contact John or Mick
Cheers agus Loch Gorman abu!!
