180 kids bringing something special to our County GAA Grounds over the last three Days Thanks to Cottage Autisim Network & Our own Wexford GAA Coaching Staff
From Martina Berry, Cottage Autism Network Board Secretary
“Cottage Autism Network are delighted with this year’s Autism Inclusion Kelloggs Cúl Camps run by Wexford GAA in Chadwick’s Wexford Park.
So many people were involved to make this happen for children with ASD and their siblings and we’re delighted that 180 children could be facilitated this year.
We can’t possibly thank everyone individually, but we do have to mention the following, without whom this wouldn’t have been possible;
Wexford GAA; Leinster GAA; Micheál Martin; Ray Harris; James Flynn; Wexford County Council; McCauley Health and Beauty Pharmacy & Sports Active Wexford.
Our outgoing chairperson Ciara Kehoe liaised with Ray Harris of Wexford GAA in order to make this a reality. Thank you Ray for helping to get this off the ground and the work you put into making this a success, and thank you Ciara for the hours of work you committed to this also.
To the coaches and volunteers – you were all phenomenal with your patience, attitude and understanding with the children. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Also we’d like to thank parents and guardians of the wonderful attendees for signing the children up to the camp and bringing them each day. Thank you to one of our members Michelle Cogley for being CAN photographer.
Lastly, the reason everyone pulled together to do this is for the children. Thank you to them for attending and participating. They are beyond amazing. Their individually shines through and we hope they all enjoyed the camp as much as we enjoyed watching them on the pitch.
