Wexford GAA Calls on Supporters to show their Support for Frontline Healthcare Workers.
Over the past month, Wexford GAA clubs have been to the fore in their communities providing support to those in need during these challenging times. Clubs have arranged themselves locally to arrange grocery and prescription collections and deliveries to those at risk in their catchments areas and have also been a social support to those cocooning. In addition to these initiatives, all Wexford GAA clubs have also assisted by providing a network of volunteer members as part of the Wexford County Council Community Response Programme where clubs have been allocated requests for assistance that have come through the County Council Community Response Support Call Centre and Hotline.
In acknowledgement of the frontline workers in our healthcare sector and the daunting challenges they are currently facing in caring for those in need of treatment, Wexford GAA is now requesting that all clubs and supporters show their support for these frontline staff. Clubs have been requested to submit a flag or bunting in club colours by post to the County Council Offices for display at Wexford General Hospital to show the county is behind those working in the hospital and all health care centres.
Club Members and all Wexford GAA supporters are also asked to show their support for our frontline workers in the Healthcare Sector by flying their county and club flags from their homes and posting photos to Social Media using the #WexfordFlysFlagsForFrontline
Supporters posting photos of their homes to Twitter flying their flags tagging the Official Wexford GAA Twitter Account @OfficialWexGAA and using the hashtag #WexfordFlysFlagsForFrontline will be entered into a draw for a 2020 Wexford GAA Jersey.
Wexford GAA reminds all our supporters to follow the HSE guidelines to Stay Safe and #StayAtHome
