Wexford Coaching & Games partners with Wexford VTOS to provide applied lifelong learning opportunities for coaches
Wexford VTOS will be running another full time Coaching Course in September. This course will be fully certified by QQI (formerly FETAC) and will combine practical hands-on coaching with other theory based aspects. If you are unemployed and over 21 you are eligible to apply.
The course runs from September to June and there will be 15 places on offer. If you are interested in GAA and out of work it is a great opportunity to gain new skills, be part of a team of like-minded people and achieve qualifications.
The course is open to men and women. Whether you are a current player, a past player, a parent, a coach or you just have an interest in coaching you will be welcome. A training allowance is payable throughout and there is full childcare provision if you have need of it.
The coaching office in Wexford Park provides work experience opportunities for students through schools coaching and summer camp coaching position. The coaching office also provide the
programme with equipment to be used in the schools coaching programme. Full time personnel also deliver parts of the coaching courses as well as individual workshops throughout the semester.
This will be the fifth year of this course and feedback has been very positive from not only the participants but also from GAA clubs and schools. If you would like more information or if you wish to enquire about any aspect of the course you can contact Wexford VTOS at 053 9146188 or 086 8533659 and ask for Ann or Marie.
