Wexford GAA hosted a Youth Consultation Day today in the Talbot Hotel in Wexford, with Transition Year students from a variety of schools getting the opportunity to have their voice heard on a range of different issues. The Youth Consultation Day was held as part of the Consultation process for CLG Loch Garman’s new Strategic Plan for 2020-2025, which is due to be launched in the near future.
Attendees had the opportunity to discuss a range of topics and issues that affected them and were afforded the opportunity to speak and offer different solutions. It was a great opportunity for Wexford GAA to find out what has been going well in the county over the past number of years and what areas need attention to build on the success to date.
The workshops were facilitated by GAA Youth Rep, Muireann Nic Corcráin, along with support from Wexford GAA’s Games Development Department under the leadership of Ray Harris. A very positive and productive atmosphere was created and attendees were brilliant in offering a fresh perspective on different areas of GAA in Wexford.
