St Fintans pulled off a minor surprise today in Wexford Park when for the second year in succession they have won county football titles. Last year they claimed the Intermediate A crown and today defeated a fancied St James side in the Intermediate Final.
County star Joey Wadding had missed a penalty half way through the second half but scored a fantastic point in injury time from past midfield to put his side 3 points ahead and secure the Lodgewood Engineering Intermediate Football title on a scoreline of 0-10 to 0-7
Centre forward Conor Sinnott was awarded the Man of The Match award for his outstanding display.
