Rackard League Summer Hurling Blitz 2012
The annual Rackard League summer Blitz overcame the inclement weather and headed indoors to the fantastic Astro Centre Enniscorthy on Thursday last. Pupils from St.Senan’s, St.Patrick’s and St.Aidan’s took part this year in what is becoming the sporting highlight of the year for the children involved. The children quickly adapted to the smooth surface of the indoor hall and all the matches were high scoring affairs with the children demonstrating all the skills of the game. Nathan Goodall , the referee, kept proceedings under control but let the games flow.The games were played in a wonderful atmosphere with great support from all the parents, teachers and special needs assistants present. After the games the children received special medals from the Rackard League and also refreshments after their exertions. A big thank you to all who helped make this such a memorable day for the children and also to Paul and Lena in the Astro Centre and Ronan and Killian Gahan. Mrs. McAteeer’s and Mrs. Kelly’s classes also enjoyed themselves in the playzone area beside the pitches. The following players represented their schools
