While our senior footballers suffered a set back at the hands of Meath last weekend, our development squads were in challenge game action taking some notable scalps along they way!
The U14s beat Meath in their challenge game in Kilbride, co. Meath by 7-17 to 2-20. All 25 players in the squad got to play in this fixture which was an impressive result.
The U15s brought 30 players to Cahir to play in a challenge tournament organised by Tipperary. They had a good outing and a lot was learned, where they beat Offaly, but succumbed to Tipperary and Sligo.
The U16s beat Carlow in a challenge game in Bunclody on a scoreline of 5.16 to 3.1. Despite being short a number of squad regulars, they had too much firepower against a weak Carlow outfit.
All 3 squads will be competing in Leinster tournaments next Saturday, so we hope that the continued development and experience for all players continues and that we can keep moving in the right direction.
