For the fourth year running Croke Park will play host on 11th and 12th July over 2000 young under 8 hurlers and footballers as part of the Leinster GAA Go Games ‘Play & Stay with the GAA’ Activity Days.
Over 150 clubs will be represented from around the province. The result being over the last four years almost every club of the provinces 550 will have had the unique opportunity playing on the famous turf.
With six Go Games pitches lined out – Croke Park will be a hive of activity accommodating over 120 children per hour. The unforgettable experience includes preparing for the games in the dressing rooms and is capped off with each team lifting a cup at the presentation area in the Hogan Stand.
A unique event to this year schedule is Leinster GAA in partnership with Saint John of God Hospitaller Services, Celbridge and Barretstown will see participants from both organisations share the field at 4.45pm on Monday the 11th of July where they will have the opportunity to play hurling and football in front of their friends and family who have come to support them.
The day starts at 9.00am on both days and concludes at 5.30pm on the 11th and 5.00pm on the 12th
