Do you or your students have an interest in Wexford GAA? Do they have a flare for writing? Or maybe an interest in becoming a sports journalist? Wexford GAA are delighted to offer Second Level students the opportunity to submit reports, on GAA games in which their school compete, to be published on www.wexfordgaa.ie – the official website of Wexford GAA, viewed by thousands of people each week. Reports will also appear on facebook.com/wexgaa and on twitter.com/officialwexgaa.
Articles should be c. 200 words and can, contain a photograph of the team or an action shot. Games can be in Hurling, Gaelic Football, Camogie or Ladies football.
Submissions should be made by email and include the students & parents/guardian’s name, year and school, only these student details will be published with the report. Students under 18 years should gain permission from their parents/guardians before making a submission. All personal details will be used solely in connection with the competition and will not be shared for commercial purposes. Students should not send the articles directly to us from their own e-mail but submit to the school and from there on to us. This is to ensure their privacy and safety, and will enable the school to oversee the work thus keeping high standards and eliminating any suggestion of false reporting. Submissions (reports and photographs) must be original work, and must not infringe any copyright of other parties. Students will retain the copyright for their submissions.

There will be two reporting prizes at the end of the school year, one for junior cycle students and one for senior cycle.
