Fixtures for the 2023 editions of the O’Byrne Cup, Walsh Cup, and the Allianz Leagues have been announced, with pathways laid out from January through to the end of March for Darragh Egan’s senior hurlers and new manager John Hegarty’s senior footballers.
O’Byrne Cup 2023
The footballers will be first into action in the new year. They will have three matches in the space of a week, with precise details of venues and times to be confirmed in due course. Fixtures are:

The group winners will play the winners of a group involving Dublin, Wicklow and Offaly in a semi-final on Sunday January 15, while the competition final is fixed for Friday January 20.
Walsh Cup 2023
Wexford begin the Walsh Cup with two away trips, to take on Laois and Offaly. The evening of Saturday January 21 will then bring what promises to be a great occasion: a meeting with Kilkenny in Chadwicks Wexford Park, for the official turning on of new floodlights there.

The Walsh Cup Final is fixed for Croke Park on Saturday January 28, with the winners of Wexford’s group playing the winners of the group involving Antrim, Dublin, Galway and Westmeath.
Football League 2023
In the League, the Wexford footballers will get a taste of the new floodlights just one week after the hurlers do, as they take on London in the opening round on Saturday January 28.
Wexford will have the benefit of four home games and just three away in 2023, but two of the away games will be tough trips to Sligo and Laois, who will be among many people’s favourites for promotion. Fixtures are:

There’ll be more floodlit action in Chadwicks Wexford Park to begin the Hurling League, as Galway pay a visit on the evening of Saturday February 4. Wexford’s only other home match of the campaign will be against Clare, while there will be trips away to Westmeath, Cork, and Limerick. Fixtures are:
