Our club cluster workshops for 2017 are currently underway and will take place up till the end of August. Over 700 coaches took part last year with even more planned for this coming season.

Coach Education Plan : Wexford GAA Coach Education Plan
This current workshop GAA15 will take place in clubs across the county until the 19th of April.
Objective: The focus of the session is to develop an understanding of activities and specific exercises which should be included in a GAA warm up for 14/16/18/seniors teams. (GAA 15 Warm UP)
Session Layout:
- Presentation of content – 20 minutes (with coaches)
- Warm Up Activities – 30 minutes (with players, coaches observe)
- Questions/Feedback 10 minutes (with coaches)
All coaches, parents and club officers are encouraged to attend the workshops.
Other workshops that will take place throughout the year are:
Games Based Coaching – This workshop will work with child/youth players and showcasing how games can be introduced to develop specific skills of the game. Coaches will leave with new ideas and new techniques on how to coach a skill through a games based model.
FUNdamentals: This workshops purpose is to show activities to work on ABC’s & the RJT’s of Gaelic Games. The aim is to show coaches at child level appropriate activates and the ideal structure of a nursery / child coaching session.
Preparing for Feile : This workshop will assist coaches specifically at this age grade in planning and conducting their sessions.
GDA Support
The GDA is on hand to assist the club in all areas of games development. If your club has a proposal for a workshop or an idea your GDA will be on hand for advice and support.
