Despite A Scoreline of 3-19 to 0-10, Our young Wexford Footballers Put on a excellent and promising first half Performance especially the full back line of Mick O Toole in goal and Tony McDonnell, Peadar Coady and Simon Donohue and with some stylish scores from Donal Shanley 0-2, Paraic Conway, 0-2, Patrick Breen and Paudie Barden a point each and went in at half time with just a point between them 6 points to 7. wexford opened the scoreline in the second half with a point from our corner back Simon Donohue but this was answered by a goal from kildare’s centre forward Niall Kelly on the fifth minute and with a strong wind on there side and there two midfielders dominating every ball Wexford began to loose shape especially after the second goal on the 12 minute which led Kildare to run riot on the scoreline with a total of 3-12 in the second half, the 3 other second half scores from Wexford came from Donal Shanley and Paraic Conway. This defeat leaves wexford playing Carlow who they defeated in the league on the 25th April in Wexford
