Congratulations to the U8 hurlers who won the Bill Cullen Cup at the tournament in Naomh Éanna last Saturday. With 24 teams competing from throughout Leinster and Munster, this was a magnificent achievement.
The boys were unbeaten in six matches throughout the course of the day conceding just 5-02 while scoring an impressive 22- 15. The Alley boys faced tough opposition in both the Semi-Final and Final. However, having taken the lead early in both matches, they fought hard to retain it and withstood heavy pressure, particularly in the second half of the final against a very talented Camross team.
The win is well deserved by this dedicated panel of players who have trained twice a week without fail since last April.
