Winning Championship Start For Our Model Minors
The Wexford fighting Spirit showed its face today in Innovate Wexford Park where our minor hurlers defeated Laois 2-13 to 17 points in the Electric Ireland Leinster G.A.A. Minor Hurling Championship. Wexford battled an on form Laois team and a strong wind blowing into the town end in the first half and trailed by 2-4 to 0-16 at the break the 2 goals coming from Stephen O Gorman, Wexford managed to level things up on the 45th minute with the Aid of the breeze and the 9 point 2nd half scores were enough to see Wexford through to the next round against either Kilkenny or Dublin.
