Under 14s
The Whizzy Internet U14 Football Development Squad has 48 players, which for the first time ever, includes no dual players. As a result, we have averaged over 40 players at every training session in the gym and on the pitch.
The benefits of this have led to a hugely positive season, where we have focussed on enhancing the technical skills of the players while also growing their understanding of the game. The squad has trained diligently for many months and played multiple challenge matches throughout the year in preparation for the Jim Power Cup at the end of the season.
For our competition, we entered two teams and the squad was divided into North and South. The first day turned out to be a big success for the lads with the North Squad qualifying for the Cup Finals against Carlow, Limerick, Offaly and Wicklow. The South Squad had a great win over Cork and are also through to the Challenge Tournament.
The Squad is eagerly anticipating their opportunity to follow in the footsteps of their contemporaries as they look to retain the trophy again this year.

Under 15s
The Whizzy Internet U15 Football Development squad has 47 players. It has been an educational season for this squad following on from their success in the Jim Power Cup last year.
The challenge this year for the group was to improve their game sense, tactical prowess and develop a system of play. This squad has put in a huge effort again this year, with massive numbers at training each week.
We entered the Dermot Earley Tournament and divided into two equal ability teams. Over the course of the season, the squad had some brilliant victories over Limerick and Wicklow to get one team through to the cup semi-final. Unfortunately, we came up against a phenomenal Westmeath side on the day that was superior in every facet of the game.
However, it must be said that far from being deterred, this group took it as a learning experience and have applied themselves fantastically well to training ever since. This group is keen to close the gap to the top teams in the country over the coming years.

Under 16s
The Whizzy Internet U16 Football Development Squad has 28 players, after losing a couple to long-term injuries. After finishing last season with a victory over Roscommon, the 16s have taken great confidence and improved using all their learnings over the course of the last two seasons.
We have embedded a system of play, incorporated kick-out strategies and focussed on developing a counter-attacking style of football this year. The players have been coached strongly and pushed to their limits week on week and they have improved exponentially to go unbeaten this year against Limerick, Wicklow, Kildare and Carlow.
They are now through to the O’Donovan Cup Final on Saturday. Regardless of the result, these boys are going in the right direction ahead of the Minor Football Championship next year.
