The WFC Senior Football Championship gets underway this weekend with a busy schedule of games fixed for Wexford Park and O’Kennedy Park, New Ross.
This evening Friday 6th May two Wexford district teams lock horns in Wexford Park when St. Anne’s take on Shelmaliers and this game gets going at 7pm. with Ian Plunkett as referee.
Tomorrow. Saturday 7th May following the Wexford Minor Hurling game v Dublin at 3pm. in Wexford Park, Kilanerin, the 2010 Co. Finalists play the Sarsfields at 6pm. and this will be followed by Gusserane and Duffry Rovers. at 7.30 pm.
Sunday is also a big day on the WFC front when two local clubs lock horns in New Ross with Fethard and Taghmon-Camross battling it out with this game down for 5pm. Following on another two New Ross district sides are scheduled to play at 6.30, Clongeen v Horeswood. The Starlights and Adamstown play in Wexford Park at 3.30 pm. and this is preceeded by an Intermediate game Glynn-Barntown v St. Fintan’s.
Both Castletown and St. Mary’s Rosslare have byes this weekend.
