Wexford go top of the Allianz National Hurling League Rionn 1B tonight after today’s superb win over Offaly.
Full Time: Wexford 2-19 to Offaly 2-13
Wexford scored 2-07 a real team performance which the lads showed grit to grind it out after Offaly went ahead. Wexford had been 6 points up against the wind after 20 minutes but found themselves 1 down at half time. Offaly started the second half well and were 3 ahead before Wexford got their first score.
Once Wexford got going they pushed on and a Liam Óg McGovern goal put them in front.
Paul Morris had 5 points from play to his name plus many assists for a great game for the Ferns man.
Next up is away to Limerick in two weeks time, March 9th for a very important game that forms part of a double header with the Div 3 NFL game. The hurling is at 1.15 with the football at 3pm
A nice trip for supporters and a great test for these developing sides.
