Wexford Ladies Football Intermediate County final
St Anne’s and Gusserane will meet in this year’s Wexford ladies football intermediate county final this coming Saturday afternoon at 3.45 pm in Taghmon. This promises to be a very interesting final with both clubs on the rise in recent seasons. St Anne’s are chasing their third title in three years after winning Junior B in 2010 and Junior A 2011, while Gusserane were the Junior A winners in 2010 and were also beaten in last year’s intermediate final against St Fintan’s.
During the league championship the sides met and it was St Anne’s who came out on top with a 3-9 to 2-10 win. Both sides have serious talent at their disposal with county players like Nicola Cullen, Niamh Crosbie, Fiona Rochford, Aisling Murphy and Kate Caulfield involved for their respective sides. Gusserane are caring numerous injury worries into this game and with St Anne’s displaying an awesome second half showing against St Jame’s in the semi final the sky blues from Rathangan are tipped to just shade this one.
