Our Wexford GAA schools coaches who participated in a two day training course with Paudie Butler (National Master Tutor) on the 18th and 19th of December. The coaches comprise of FAS CE coaches, VTOS coaches and JOB Bridge coaches. The aim of the course was to up-skill the coaching staff to enable them to deliver the National Curriculum in PE for primary schools through Gaelic Games. On the second day Dirmuid “Gizzy” Lyng brought his class from the Gael Scoil in Wexford Town which helped to deliver the practical modules of the course. Paudie’s assistance in delivering training to our coaches is invaluable and will lead to a more understanding and effective coaching model with in the county.
The course was organised through the coaching office (Dave Guiney) and spear-headed by George O’Conner and assisted by the full time staff.
