Intermediate Hurling Championship
Cathaoirleach Micheál Martin explained the technical reasons behind Leinster Council’s finding the previous Thursday evening that an independent CCC should convene so that the objection arising from the meeting of Fiodh Ard Mhaodhóig Naofa and Tig Leath Slí Bun Clóidí may again be considered.
He put forward the names of three people who have indicated their willingness to sit on this committee:
- Liam Keane, Chairman of the National Standing Committee on Playing Rules.
- Willie O’Connor, Secretary of the Munster Hearings Committee.
- John Horan, Íar-Uachtarán CLG.
The three were formally proposed, seconded, and approved en bloc.
This committee is to meet in Chadwicks Wexford Park at 7 p.m. on Wednesday October 23rd to consider the matter.
County Finals
Operational aspects of the playing of the upcoming County Finals in football and hurling were discussed. It was noted that this year’s Jubilee Teams will be Kilanerin in football, and St. Martin’s in hurling.
