Financial Statements
The Financial Statements for 2022 were approved by Coiste Bainistí. There was a net surplus of €652k for the year ended 30 September 2022. This operating surplus was utilised to invest €438k in upgrades to Chadwicks Wexford Park. Wexford GAA continues to be on a sound financial footing which is essential given the upcoming investments outlined in our strategic plan, of €4million into infrastructure projects, and €1million into Games Development and coaching
The full financial statements together with the Secretary’s Report will be circulated to Clubs on Monday, 5 December 2022 in advance of County Convention.
Review of Gaelic Football in Wexford
Philip Wallace presented the preliminary findings of his review to Coiste Bainistí. It that a special meeting would be convened in early January to discuss football in the county. Each Club will be asked to nominate a representative with a commitment and passion for Gaelic football to discuss the findings and agree an action plan.
Games Development Planning
Micheál Martin, Cathaoirleach CLG Loch Garman outlined that a very positive workshop took place with provincial and national representatives including Liam Sheedy, Peter Horgan and Shane Flanagan in respect of the new Games Development Planning process. This is a part of the new Coaching and Games Funding Model launched by Croke Park. Over the coming weeks, Wexford GAA review coaching and games development within the county to benchmark ourselves against the rest of the country. From this, a four-year action plan will be developed to complement our Strategic Plan.
