They say from little acorns grow great oaks and this Sunday some of Wexford’s minor hurlers will be hoping to overcome Laois and progress to the Leinster final.
But before this, on Saturday, again in Wexford the seniors take on Westmeath in the All Ireland hurler qualifiers.
The connection between these two grades is a very real one and we only have to look at Jack Guiney, a minor last year, to see this.
We would have all preferred a doubleheader but despite all the best efforts of the County Chairman this is not to be, we know its a tough time on supporters but if you can make even one of these games this weekend it would be truly valued by all concerned.
