As part of our ongoing celebrations of the 100 year anniversary of Wexford winning four in a row 1914-18, Wexford GAA have organised an Under 16 tournament on Saturday 7th July 2018. We are delighted to welcome a New York team to participate in the tournament along with Carlow and Wicklow.
The New York squad will arrive on July 4th (Independence Day) and will be hosted by Mayor Tony Dempsey at a reception at 2.30pm in The National Heritage Park. On July 5th they will play a combined Wexford town team made up of players from the five Wexford town clubs in a game for The McKenna Cup. This game will take place at 5pm in Wexford Park.
Glynn Barntown GAA club will host the players for two nights and will play a game on Friday evening followed by entertainment in the club house. The Centenary Cup tournament will take place on Saturday 7th July in Ferns Centre of Excellence commencing at 11am.
