While a lot of activities are quieting down on the academy front our Model Og Regional Academy will continue with training on the 30th of September in the Halo Tiles Center of Excellence. They will then enter blitzes on the 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th of October.
Gerry Moran who coordinates the program is excited at the prospect of games opportunities for players at the end the season “we have been coming together once a month since March in both hurling & football focusing on different skills at each session, the big plus is players getting to meet & interact with players from different clubs. We played a regional Waterford team in hurling & Wicklow in football. It was a really enjoyable day out for all involved. I have to thank the coaches who have given up their time to assist it wouldn’t have ran so well without them. We are looking forward to the few games to end the season”
