After the drama and excitement of beating Kilkenny last year in the u-21 hurling championship, to end the campaign in such disappointing fashion, losing the Leinster final to Dublin was heart-breaking. However Tony Dempsey and his team of selectors have remained at the helm and despite losing a number of their now overage, supremely talented hurlers like Andrew Shore the lads are determined to have
another crack at bringing some silverware home in this critical age group.
This year, expectation levels are lower, but following an impressive win over an understrength Galway supporters are hopeful.
They start their campaign away next Wednesday night , 6th June in Tullamore at 7.30pm in the Bord Gais Energy Leinster GAA Under 21 championship
This will be a tough game for all the team but especially the likes of Jack Guiney who will more than likely be playing two championship games against Offaly within 5 days!
The team will be named here as soon as it becomes available and we’ll have updates on our Twitter, that’s @OfficialWexGAA
