Castletown, County Wexford hosts ‘The GAA Show’
This week The GAA Show comes from Castletown in County Wexford, the home of the current Wexford county football champions. The cup which has been presented to the winners of the All Ireland club football championship since 1974 is named in honour of former Castletown and Wexford footballer Andy Merrigan.
The Model County face Dublin in Sunday’s Leinster football final. Manager Jason Ryan hopes his side have learned lessons from their 23 point hammering by the same opposition in the 2008 decider. Ryan has also called for consistency from match referee Joe McQuillan.
