The Loch Garman U17 hurling Tournament was a huge success and it was well received and praised by all the participating Counties. There was 168 players who took to the field of play from 5 counties ( 2 Wexford teams, 2 Dublin teams, Kilkenny, Waterford and Limerick) and played a min of 3 games in sunny conditions in the great GAA surroundings of Pairc Charman, it was great day out for parents, players and mentors. Billy Walsh proudly presented the Cup to the Limerick Captain and Noel O Keeffe (Vice Chair) presented the Shied to the Wexford Captain. Both Wexford teams had a sucessfull tournament with Wexford Gold unfortuntly beating finalists in the Cup final and Wexford Purple winning the Shield Final beating a strong Kilkenny team
Finally we would like to acknowledge the support from Leinster Council and the Adult and Underage County Board Officials along with all the voluntary Managers, Selectors, including Noel Moran who was the Chief Co-ordinator on the day and not forgetting the ladies in the kitchen and the ground Officials! Well done to all! and with this success in the first tournament it is hoped that this will turn into an annual event
