More than sixty great Gaels of the past will be honoured on Sunday January 25, at the annual Seana Ghael Loch Garman awards ceremony.
The event will take place in the Ferrycarrig Hotel, beginning at 2 p.m. and running until approximately 6 p.m. Special guest will be the incoming Chairman of Leinster GAA, Martin Byrne.
The awards have been running since 1982, and have seen close to 1,600 people honoured over the years. This year, there will be 54 club awards presented, along with eight further awards in the ‘Over 90s’ category. In addition, there will be the first-ever award for somebody reaching 100 years of age, and other awards for handball and camogie.
