The Quarter-Finals of the 2011 Pettitts Senior Hurling championship will be played on Saturday 3rd September with many interesting pairings:
Cloughbawn and Faythe Harriers get the proceedings off the ground in Bellefield at 1pm. and this will be followed by two clubs who have met many times in the last few years – Rathnure and Glynn-Barntown at 2.30 pm.
Supporters who attend the above games in Bellefield and pay an admission fee of €15 may then travel to the other two quarter-final games in Wexford Prk or attend the final two FBD Intermediate play-offs in Farmleigh free provided you collect a special ticket and the entrance and produce at the next venue. If you attend just one venue then the fee is €10.
Last year’s county final teams Oulart-The Ballagh (Co Champions) play the 2010 finalists St. Martin’s in the Park at 4.30 pm. and this will be followed by Buffers Alley and the Rapparees at 6pm.
All the quarter-final games are expected to live up to expectations and may the best teams come out on top and advance to the semi-finals.
In the FBD play-off games on Saturday 3rd Craanford play Fethard at 1pm. in St. Patrick’s Park and this will be followed at 2.30 pm. by Naomh Éanna and Rathgarogue-Cushinstown. In Farmleigh St. Patrick’s play Blackwater at 4.30pm. while Rathnure take on Geraldine O’Hanrahan’s at 6pm.
