The Wexford Combined Colleges hurling team tested themselves today against one of the kingpins of Colleges hurling in Munster – Limerick’s Ard Scoil Rís.
The lads travelled to Clonoulty in Tipperary today for the game which ended in a win for the Limerick lads with a final score of 3-11 to 0-10. However managment are pleased as Ard Scoil Ris are a very strong team who many tip for the All Ireland.
The game was level with 12 mins to go when we made two defensive errors which led to the concession of two goals. It was a very good exercise and a useful learning experience.
The Wexford team will play reigning All-Ireland champions Dungarvan CBS in early January and it is fantastic to be exposing our young players to this level of hurling.
