Some 200 boys and girls from CoolCotts NS and Kennedy Park NS took part with NO player ever been a sub on a team and all teams playing at all times. A total of 20 teams were put together on the morning, with each team playing 6 Matches each. The teachers involved said the day was a huge success and lavished praise on the organisation of the event. The Urban Development Coordinators, and FAS coaches were on hand organizing, refereeing and handing out Universal town club flyers. Many children said they were going to join a club after the positive experience of the day.
There was a 3/4 class blitz held every day in every district this week. This is the 2nd time this term these blitzes have been run, with 2000 3rd and 4th class boys and girls participating the last time we hope to get close to 4000 pupils playing Gaelic Football over the two week period.
