Wexford GAA County Board is delighted to announce that it has appointed Éanna Martin as Commercial Manager. After completing his studies in University College Cork, Éanna has built up extensive sales and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical sector over the past 8 years. This is Éanna’s 12th year on the Wexford senior hurling panel and we look forward now to seeing him deliver for Wexford GAA off the field too.
The Commercial Steering Group (established in 2017 under the chairmanship of Micheál Mahon) conducted an extensive recruitment process and its recommendation was ratified by Coiste Bainistíochta on Monday 12 March. The post has been approved by Croke Park and was formally ratified on 26 March by a meeting of the Wexford County Board. This new post is a key strategic initiative as Wexford GAA looks to grow its income base in order to support the development of our games from underage to adult intercounty level.
Éanna’s professional experience, personal drive and passion for our games made him the standout candidate for the post and we wish him well in his new role. Strong progress on growing the county’s income has already been achieved on foot of the recent fundraising trip to New York, with the sizable increase in season ticket sales and with confirmation of Wexford GAA Day at the Punchestown Racing Festival on 28 April.
