Leinster Scór na nÓg success
Ballygarret/Réalt na Mara Club won Leinster honours in the Instrumental Music competition in Scór na nÓg which took place in Ballymore, Co. Westmeath on Sunday last.
The standard of the competition was very high with groups from Laois, Offaly and Longford taking part. The Wexford group played a beautiful set dance followed by a lively reel. The standard of their performance ensured that they were awarded first place and will now represent Leinster in the All Ireland in Killarney on Saturday 30th January. Members of the group are Kate O’Loughlin and Áine Neary (fiddles), Ben O’Connor(banjo), Cian Kenny(concertina) and Seán Walsh(bouzouki & guitar). All in Wexford Scór wish them the very best of luck in the All Ireland final.

Also well done to the other groups who represented Wexford very well on the day but unfortunately didn’t qualify for the All Ireland. Declan Sinnott, Oulart the Ballagh competed in the recitation while Naomh Éanna and Bannow Ballymitty competed in the Ballad Group and Léiriú competitions.
Winners of the County Wexford Scór Quiz were St Mary’s, Rosslare and they will also represent Wexford in the All Ireland in Killarney. Best of Luck to the boys from Rosslare.
