There is a strong purple and gold contingent in Leinster handball finals over the coming days .
In Garryhill on Monday evening the16th of july the junior doubles final sees Darren O’Toole and Malachy Whelan up against Keith Kavanagh and James Gregan from Wicklow at 8pm.
Wednesday night sees a double of Masters finals in Mullinavat at 7.30 and 8pm
The emerald masters A doubles final pairs Tony Breen and Ned Buggy against Joe Hennessy and Johnny Brennan from Kilkenny and that game will be followed closely by the Silver Master B doubles final with Frank Maddock and Donal Doyle up against Chris Dunne and Paul Dowling from Kilkenny.
Thursday the 19th of July sees the under 21 doubles final pairing up Peter and Patrick Funchion from Kilkenny against Jason and Cory Murphy from Wexford in Coolgraney .
Monday the 23rd will see the final of the junior B doubles with Michael Busher and Paddy Haughton carrying Wexford hopes against Brendan and Diarmuid Burke from Kilkenny at 8pm in Garryhill.
The draw and fixtures for the opening round of the M Donnelly 60 x 30Handball Championships Men Open Singles have thrown up some very interesting opening round ties, when the draw was made today .
Wexford’s doubles winning pair of last season Barry Goff and Colin Keeling both face interesting opening round matches. Recently crowned Wexford Farmer’s Co-op 60 x 30 open singles champion Barry Goff will face Stephen Cooney from Mayo in the opening round on Saturday afternoon at 5pm in Na Fianna in Dublin.
Colin Keeling will play Tipperary’s Ger Coonan in the same round on Saturday in Dungarvan at 4pm.
Gavin Buggy is the third Wexford player in the field and he faces a very tricky opening round battle with CJ Fitzpatrick from Limerick in Cashel on Saturday at 4pm.
Hopefully there will be a hat trick of wins for the purple and gold in what promises to be a very busy weekend for county wexford GAA.
