Leinster Handball Championships
It was a mixed week on the court in Leinster handball this week for the model county as some player progressed while others were knocked out at the semi final stage.
Barry McWilliams saw his fine season in the Junior B singles come to an end when he lost out 21-10, 21-15 to Peter Flanagan from Meath.
Two Wexford pairs were in the semi finals of the Masters B doubles but only Shane Rossiter and John Roche advanced to the final as they beat David Dwyer and Alan Mulhall from Westmeath on a 21-11, 21-9 score, while the luck just ran out for Mick Armstrong and Damien Kelly as they were narrowly beaten 21-20, 21-18 by Sean Ryan and David Cooke from Offaly.
Ritchie Culleton and John Bail are into the final of the Golden Masters B Doubles after they had a fine win in their semi final, defeating Paddy Fennelly and Pat Funchion from Kilkenny on a comfortable 21-9, 21-14 score line.
