Ladies Football Corner with Noel Holohan
Although we are in the middle of winter there is still plenty of action on the Ladies football front for Wexford players. In the past week Loreto Secondary School relinquished their grasp on the Leinster Senior A schools title as they lost out in the final to a very strong Colaiste Iosagain from Stillorgan, the game was played last Monday in Dr Cullen Park. Paudge Brennan his fellow selectors and all the players in Loreto much be praised for restoring the fight in Loreto over the past two years and they just came up against a very strong Dublin side on Monday last.
On the back pitch in Carlow at the same time Presentation Secondary School were busy making progress to the semi final of the Senior C Leinster championship as they comprehensively beat Sacred Heart Secondary School from Tullamore on a 5-19 to 4-6 score line.
