Unfortunately Kilkenny ran out 1-20 to 0-11 winners over Wexford in Nowlan Park today in the ElectricIreland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship, Wexford looked in contention in the opening 20 minutes thanks to shelmaliers marksman Ross Banville 5 first half points who was in a shootout with Kilkenny’s wing forward Adrian Mullen scoring 6 which helped the Kilkenny’s half time lead 10 points to 6
5 minutes into the 2nd half Mullen found the net with the only goal of the game and the gap widened and Kilkenny never looked back , Wexford despite their loss will no doubt learn from their mistakes today and regroup and go in positive against Offaly in two weeks’ time at home in Innovate Wexford Park and aim for a Leinster semi-final spot
