Davidstown/Courtnacuddy man David Dunne with Wexford’s first goal eased the task in hand and helped Wexford to a comfortable half time score 1-12 to 8 point lead.
Despite a brief Westmeath come back early in the 2nd half Conor McDonald’s 2nd goal for Wexford ended the game as a contest.
