In somewhat of a coup, three in row, All Ireland Camogie winning Wexford manager, JJ Doyle (Marshalstown) has been put forward for appointment by County Board as the new U-21 hurling boss. He takes the reins from Tony Dempsey and will be assisted by his team of selectors, Niall McDonald (Crossabeg) and All Ireland winning forward, Larry Murphy (Cloughbawn).
Wexford face Westmeath in their opening round of the Bord Gais Energy Leinster G.A.A. U-21 in June.
While in other news, Aidan O’Brien has named his Senior Football Selectors: Turlough Lacey, Glynn Barntown and Lee O Brien, Horeswood.
Also Kevin Kehoe Gusserane and his outgoing selectors have been reappointed over the u-21 footballers.
